You need to fully immerse yourself into native Somali speaking spaces. When you go to Somalia, don’t just hang around fellow diasporians, interact with native speakers as much as possible. The textbooks and whatnot are great for understanding the grammatical/technical aspects of Somali, but the best way to become proficient in any language is practice.
