What are the Eritreans doing here in Europe ?

Very weird they have arrived here in big numbers since 2012. They have peace and a strong economy. Probably the most stable country in Africa. How can they be that shameless ? come on you didn't see Somalis leaving for EU during the Kacaan. What I will give to see Somalia being in their situation.

I read a post about an Eritrean woman who works in a immigrants center and how more than half of the "Eritrean" refugees she has to help aren't even from Eritrea but tigray region in Ethiopia. They couldn't even speak the language but apparently chose to claim Eritrea since that would make it easier for them to seek refuge since to the west Eritrea is known as "North Korea of Africa" compared to Ethiopia who has a better image @seldiboy can you confirm if this is right ?

The number of Eritreans outside Eritrea is 5 million, and the number inside it is 3 million. It is hell. The government there will force you to go and die on the front lines. You must fight for a year.

Critical thinking skills have gone out the window with this one. It would’ve been quicker to google search the current state of Eritrea than it would to make a sspot thread

We would have to ask Isaias Afwerki?

Yeah I was wondering this too. Asmara has fairly good infastructure compared to most places in Somalia and about 1/3 of eriteans live there.
Is the government really that bad @seldiboy

Yeah, Tigrayans commonly claim Eritrean since they get recognized by the west as legitimate refugees due the state of their country. However, the exact figure is oftentimes exaggerated. Nothing against Eritreans, but I'd take their claims on Tigrayans with a grain of salt since they have strained relations and don't get along that well. Especially with the recent war.

This phenomenon was prevalent up until 2020. That's when the war in Tigray began with a disastrous aftermath. They're now recognized as refugees and even get preferential treatment abroad.

Also, Tigrinya/Tigrigna is the native language of both Tigrayans (4th largest ethnic group in Ethiopia) and Tigrinyas (largest ethnic group in Eritrea). Tigrayans call the language Tigrinya and Eritreans call it Tigrigna. The proximity of the two dialects is probably on par with Dutch and Flemish (if not closer) @seldiboy

I hear they are escaping forced military service. Plus they are a North Korea type state. The more I learn about those kinds of governments, the more they scare me. What is going on in those places that they have to make sure there's no contact with the outside world?

I once heard that when they held the Olympics there, they built a fake McDonald's to make the place look normal. As well as, apparently they starve the people there.

Saw this article and somehow they turn it around to act as if western countries are innocent. Truly shows it's all virtue signaling for them and they don't actually care about non-whites.

Eritrea is doing fine. Don't listen to the words of the people who are brainwashed by the West's mainstream lame news media.

Conservation of war is how nations uplift their people from misery and poverty. Eritrea has achieved food self-sufficiency, free healthcare, free education, and govt aiding the poor in Ereteria.

Tigrayans speak Tigrinya, as do the Kebessa people of Eritrea. It is true however that around half of “Eritrean” refugees in Europe are actually Tigrayan
