What do you think about Siyad Barre ?

Marshall D Abdi

Know you’re place peasant
People point out a few positive things he did and conclude that it cancels out the mass slaughter of innocent lives which he orchestrated

When in reality that doesn't negate any of the grief, misery and trauma he's caused to so many lives, he's a mass murdering maniac at the end of the day and I hope he's burning in hell

You know a country is in a terrible predicament when you got past war criminals like Morgan who are not only walking freely but still running for positions of power

Somalia will never prosper until it acknowledge its dark past that is rooted in ethnic cleansing and all other human atrocities, imagine excusing such repulsive immoral men and their malicious acts solely on the fact that they share a clan or built some oil companies.

Genocide is Genocide and the perpetrators should be dealt with accordingly not celebrated
Muse bixi is wannabe country still killed 89 ppl

MSB was a cursed communist and atheist dictator who spent most of his regime mass murdering his fellow Somalis, the country at the time was dependent on foreign aid and was one of the poorest countries in Africa.

Famine, illiteracy and lack of jobs was a norm during his long and oppressive regime,May Allah burn him and his fans in Jaxiima hell fire.

Amin:rejoice:

He was a dumbass, plain and simple.

Only a retard would disregard the opinion of the the USSR during the cold war. Especially when your own country was political aligned with the USSR and not the USA.

This "great man" caused the deaths of thousands and is the reason why somalia is in such a terrible state :ohlord:

:kanyehmm:

No, the people who brought down his government caused the terrible state of Somalia.

Also those people killed 1000x more people than Siad Barre was ever accused of.

You need people like me
He’s a paranoid bastard who died a befitting death in a toilet in Nigeria. He pitted tribes up against each other in order to get what he wanted and you could argue Somalia still suffers from his divisive methods.

People who claim he did good things such as build Bosaso port , why don’t you mention how he only did it out of guilt ? Contrary to popular belief and the same repetitive few images people use, Somali as a nation was a poor nation under him.

Is he wholly responsible for the state of Somalia today ? No . But he definitely did get the ball rolling.

You are baised because you share a tribe with Barre, so you argument wouldn't make any sense to anyone.:idontlike:

I actually disliked Siad Barre at first because of all the BS propaganda put out against him.

Then I did my own research and I saw that he was the best President and leader Somalis have ever had.

He never built Bossaso port, stop giving him a credit for something he didn't do, all the ports, roads and infrastructure was built by Italians,China, and others, there was no single project MSB's government built on their own.

Infact Somalia was doing much better during the civil war than the MSB regime.

Exactly you are biased bcoz you share a tribe with him, just looking at you post history confirms it, so please take your atheist obsession somewhere else, no one here would praise the same dog who destroyed Somalia's potential.

Better than dhabo dilifs who brought our worst enemy ethiopia to somalia so they could overthrow him. And then cried when he killed them with the gaalo they brought. :wow:

Great leader, his greatest downfall was being too soft on dissidence and anarchist, if he crushed them fully we would be flourishing right now

Do you actually read things or do you just go on your rehearsed monologue automatically?

Yep. If he was such the monster they pretend he was, he would have killed Abdullahi Yusuf and Aideed.

I wish he did though!

People are acting like fighting those who are causing instability in the nation is “Genocidal murder”, no it’s the most rational route to political stability even Abu Bakar has done it and every leader who has consolidated power. The people he was fighting with a like the Confederates of the south, they where plotting on the countries downfall.

Exactly.

Siad Barre did not just fight random Somalis going about their business. He was fighting against those who were plotting to destroy the country.

I mean look at what they did to the country after he died.

Only AY somewhat redeemed himself by helping to create the TFG. AY said in his later years that if he knew how Somalia would turn out he would have never fought Siad Barre.

It’s funny the people he was trying to quell turned out to be the agents of chaos that burned the whole nation to the ground. Yet they blame him, very poetic
