What do you think about Somaliland independence?

it's time to have a honest conversation about somaliland.
i am not a somaliland supporter(my mother is from khaatumo) but i belive that people should be able choose their future.

this my plan for the somaliland question

i think we should do a referendum in the regions of somaliland(sool,sanaag,waqooyi galbeed,togdheer,awdal), i know there was a referendum back in 2001 but it wasn't fair since some daroods were denied to vote.
every region wil choose if they want independence or if they want to stay with somalia.
i belive that in awdal,sool and sanaag unity will win,while independence will win in waqooyi galbeed and togdheer.

Dont know anything about qabil but if somaliland is as stable and progressive as thought to be I reckon the capital of Somalia as a whole should be moved to their capital instead of breaking up a largely homogenous people. Sooner or later other unstable regions will get their shit together but in the mean time central government needs to be in SL.

Why not? They would gain more power and capital from the IC obviously it would never happen just because the south would probably resist. But f*ck em they had 25 years to have any semblance of a country and failed. Turn over power to SL and see if what works for them works for Somalia as a whole.

The international community rejected the concept of 3 Somali countries in UN, same the EU, AU, same Arab league which is Somalia is part of it. Even if we want the decision is not in our hands. We are part of IC and any simply will affect the whole Africa continent. So, the SL can act as spoil brat but soon or later they will accept it. And if they try to ruin the country and cause problems. The IC will cut the aid from them and isolate them. Even Ethiopia would not help them. IC could pose sanction on them. It is not up to them, the IC rejected the separation for 25 years. Sooner or later they had to accept the reality. They do not live in island but part of world. And people do not have any power leave it to silanyo and they will announce it to them. People want only safe streets, free school, free healthcare and jobs if the union will bring. They will accept it.
