What groups does ‘Ancestral East African’ peak in?

If it even peaks in specific populations at all… And I have a few more specific questions also.

1. Do non-Habesha Ethiopians also have this component? And did their ancestors also have it?

2. Is it present in modern day Sudanese populations? - I imagine it would be in the Nuba and *potentially* Fur, but is it also present in the ‘Arab’ and Nubian Sudanese populations?

3. At this point, is it present in all East Africans?

Thanks 😊

It’s present in all, but it peaks in the gumuz and shanqalla

Ohh okay, got it. Do you know if the Gumuz have any West African component at all? And I also hear the Mursi mentioned a lot when it comes to this, does this equally peak in them also?
Yes the Mursi too, to answer your first question, I don’t know if the Gumuz have a west African component for sure, but I’ve heard they have a minute amount, whereas others have said they don’t.
