What happened to the (gold/silver) head pieces and facial jewelry Somali women used to wear in the 19th century?

Yes they are.

one is from a German encyclopedia made around the 1870s and the other I’m pretty sure is a Somali woman wearing traditional Somali structured jewelry.

unless you can prove me wrong for the second one?

Yes, it was called the somali village
Somalis were exhibited in there so the locals in europe/america can see their customes.
It was a racist and dehumanizing idea.
They also had European tribes as well as other people. I've read a story of most of them getting paid to get there as well.
