This is a hypothetical question.
As your aware Somaliland signed a major contract with the Anglo Turkish oil company Ganel. The agreement states that if commercial quantities of oil are found that Ganel would refine and export the oil.
With preliminary results out and showing excellent results as it was recently stated by the executive of the company.
Also to note: both Yemen, Ethiopia and Saudia Arabia have commercial oil quantities.
If Somaliland does become a major oil producer how would this change the dynamics of its struggle for independence and the wider Somali conflict.
