I often notice a persons behaviour towards money can say a lot about them. Thing is, there is no right or wrong way to go about money which is what interests me.

Are you the type to live within your means and practice frugality to extreme levels? Do you always seek bargains and cheap knockoffs?

Or are you the type to spend a little carelessly, always using money as a solution to any problem or thing to satisfy?

I noticed that I have a lot of friends who have saved ridiculous money through restraining but damn they haven't done half the stuff I've done in my life. I honestly believe life is about experiences and living in the present. Yes save if you can, but none of us know what the future holds, what if you lose all your savings? I think it's right to be saving if you have a certain type of responsibility I.e sick mom, wife and kids etc

I save a lot of my money to invest into building stuff in Somalia

And when I do spend money I like to spend it on experiences rather than material stuff

I'm pretty sure if I was a millionaire I would wear sweatpants and tank tops all the time

I read somewhere that spending money can be an addiction and it's a sign of self destructive behaviour. There are some of us who just love to clean out our bank accounts for whatever reasons. I think it's a way of letting off steam - worked hard all day to graft and then go out and spend spend spend

Saving is in my blood it's just what I instinctively do. I set up my savings so that a set amount automatically goes to my savings, I don't even see it. What's left I spend on bills, other needs and seeing friends. Travel comes out of my savings but it's never that expensive because I tend to go for all inclusive off season deals. Same place, a little colder and quieter but I prefer that.

I envy you. But yeah it's not even that I can't save, Sometimes I just love to spend on people and things. Gives me comfort that I can make someone happy with a sum of money. I blocked out a lot of headache from my parents by just throwing money at them. Hungry? Take this score and get yourself a fry up. New phone? Use my Amazon account. Ayeeyo wants something? Send her X amount, actually it's Eid send her double for all her troubles.

I used to do that but people don't really appreciate it. They prefer having memories and closeness with you.

I only got a rude awakening when I was interested in marriage and realised I need to save a LOT if I wanted the girl. Suddenly my love of spending took over and I lost motivation to save up. She's marrying her mums nephew now.

That's sad but youll find someone else. I know someone who got married through a long term family ayuuto. If there's a will there's a way as they say.

I live among the most stingy people on the earth. On a work day I hardly spend money. I take the bike to work and make myself lunch box. I might buy a soup at the canteen, which costs 60 cents. I use to buy my lunch at the canteen but after few remarks from coworkers I started bringing home made lunch.

The Dutch are known in Canada to be very tight fisted with their money
