Really niggah? :draketf:

This is actually a excellent question. Not sure why you hating. Foh warya, go back to your qabil threads.

@Mrsuperhuman My first major was a math/physics one so i spent a lot of time thinking about this question and debating with my Muslim classmates about the answer. Tbh end of the day we don't know. 100 years ago our space knowledge was limited to the solar system, mankind isn't that smart. So we'll never be able to truly comprehend how the universe works.

After some research my old Alabanian Muslim roommate of mine and I stumbled upon the verse, which many of us have seen so many times but never really comprehended,

"It is allah who created the seven heavens and the earth the like thereof. HIs command descends between them (heaven and earth), that you make now allah has power over all things, and that Allah surrounds (comprehends) all things in (HIs) Knowledge. (At-Talaaq 65:12)

Also found this verse really interesting.

"So [Allah] decreed them as seven heavens (one above the other) in two days and revealed to each heaven its orders. And We [Allah] adorned the lowest heaven with lights, and protection. Such is the decree of the Exalted; the Knowledgeable.(Al Jathiya 41:12).

Notice that bolded part. I mean I'm not a tafsir scholar, nigga I'm not even that religious smh...but I think Allah is saying that our "lowest heaven"..I guess universe...is the one that has light. If you're familiar with special relativity, you'll know how important light is to the laws of physics. And since it's dark matter that makes up around 80% of the universes mass, does this mean that the other six heavens are superimposed with dark matter since they are one above another? I mean logically it would make sense that Jannah has similar sets of natural and physical laws to our universe, or would it be entirely different? Would we be in a different non-human form? Are there 6 other universes out there? What are inside these 6 universes? Do they have other creations of allah similar to Humans? Very interesting subject to think about, and a great question @Mrsuperhuman

So do we live in a multiverse? You know what, despite this sounding really meta physics-ish, it's not that far stretched. I recommend you give this a proper watch, it's really interesting and presented in a way that anyone without a science or physics background can keep up. my favourite physics documentary series btw. Briane Green is the man.

I mean no one knows where paradise is located.
Is space all there is? The Quran mentions 7 skies or something, and it states humans dont have the power to get to level 3.
Wherever it is, i know its there. This whole world cant be a joke and our creator has plans for each of us.
Allaha dhamaanteen nawada cafiyo

You can have Jannah without ever needing to invoke this parallel universe nonsense. What is clear is that we live in a meta-universe, and the observable universe we see which is described by the laws of quantum field theory + general relativity is merely a subset of this much larger meta-universe. That means the laws of QFT and GR are also themselves approximations to the underlying fundamental laws of this meta-universe. The main reason why it can't be located in a parallel universe is because from theoretical physics these universes can only exist if they are assumed to be "causally disconnected", meaning no influence from one these parallel universes can propagate and affect anything in, for example, our universe. That right there blows the entire idea of Jannah being located within or itself a parallel universe out of the water.

@syntax I see you've been drinking the parallel universe kool-aid.:banderas:

I never said there was parallel universes. Also the correct term is multiverse. And I'm not drinking any Kool aid. It's just a idea that many of the top physicists accept as a possible theory. I dont evrn think there are mulltiverses, its just a intetesting idea that makes sense. But you're smarter than them right.

I take exception with the word "many". A vanishingly small handful, sure. But, not anywhere near close to "many". Seeing as I interact with many respected physicists in my day job and have been to many a colloquium, I definitely have more experience in gauging what the top physicists in the field are saying on this. And to put it simply, they don't have very nice things to say about the "Multiverse" speculation.

The problem is, you think those theorists you see in the media are "top physicists", when that couldn't be further from the truth. :heh:

Here's an actual top physicist, string theorist and noble Laureate (very rare combination), shitting on your typical "top physicist" that pushes the multiverse BS continuously in the media:

You'll find most top physicists actually agree with Mr Gross.

But you're smarter than them right.

Just because I can see where the fundamental flaw in their reasoning is doesn't mean I am "smarter" than them. Einstein was a believer in a fundamentally deterministic quantum theory. Despite the fact experimental evidence and theoretical arguments have long debunked Einstein's original reasoning for his belief, does that mean anyone who doesn't agree with Einstein and can now see the flaw in his reasoning is implying they are "smarter" than Einstein? :heh:

lol @ you taking this so seriously. It's just a theory man calm down. Just like string theory, it's something that makes sense given the math that accompanies it.
