What's your qabiil? It does matter, somalis are too corrupt and cuqdaad filled. If you're from a qabiil they dont like they'll screw you over. Theyll either over charge you or just rob you altogether and give the house to someone else. You need someone you can trust, a local who knows the land and people well so you don't get screwed over. Being a diaspora is another hurdle.

Mogadishu is looking good and expected to boom. so i advise to buy some lands there especially new districts where the price isn't that high.
a built house can be expensive especially in Hodan, Wadajir, Waberi and Howlwadag districts.
we have house in Wadajir and it was valued over 150k$ when i left there five years ago but heard it is valued over $300k now. it is very expensive these places.

I don't know about south Somalia, but in the Somaliland region you can get a house. It should be fairly easy if you have the financial ressources to build it.
