Why are Somalis scared of dogs?

97% percent of Somalis I know would run away from a dog at first sight. I'm considered brace since I cross the road when I see one on a sidewalk, unlike others who turn into usain.
Why is this?

But I never knew why their scared of dogs, one friend of mine was bitten by a dog when she was young and she makes a huge scene, when sees a dog, screams and runs lol

Dogs aren't even scary, they're miskeen for the most part.It's cats you have to watch out for, they look like they're always scheming and move unpredictable.

Not scared of dogs but I was attacked by one in Tesco once after my friend pissed it off.

I passed out yesterday when I was at the cash machine because the person infront of me had a massive dog (he looked more like a bear, towering over me). He made eye contact and barked extremely loud....the next thing I remember is waking up on the floor and people around me
