Liberia: In Liberia, 69% of people reported that had paid a bribe in the past year.

Cameroon:Cameroon fared better, with 48% of its citizens reporting that they paid a bribe in the past 12 months.

Nigeria: In Nigeria the figure was slightly lower at 43%

Sierra Leaone: Transparency international found that 41% of public service users in Sierra Leone had to pay bribes to drivers

Uganda: 38%

Kenya: 37%

Ghana: 36%

Benin: Stands at the lowest with 26%

Somalia: In Somalia, the situation is switched. Somacoon reports that 99.97% of Somali politicians have taken bribes in the last 2 months.

I was surprised also, I paid one too many bribes my last visit. You can't even catch a matatu, everyones grinding

Kenyans are getting savvy they'll lie on these questionnaires just to get good ratings for their country. If you're a Somali you pay bribes like you pay taxes. Kenyan Somali MPs urged Somalis to stop paying and just go to jail and eventually they'd stop threatening and harassing you.
