I will apply this to Somalis especially, save so much money to build houses/ mansions in Somalia but live in a council estate or run down areas in the country you will die in .

why not invest in the country your children and grandchildren will live in?

i know they use the money to build houses but why not invest in your children or invest in the country you WILL most likely live and die in.

My family built 2 big houses in Xamar. When we first got to Canada we could not afford a house and now prices have gone up rapidly. We did snag a house 2 years ago in Canada. I get your message, our area in Xamar is full of absentee landlords living in the diaspora.

Invest in Somalia and build homes so that when it is safe, you can return to it.
