Why do Fobs act like they cant speak Somali?

I have more than on one occassion met Somalis Who claim they cant speak Somali even those Who been here a couple weeks saying The same thing

Just Why?

Self hate, freshies look up to westernized somalis.

My parents came to the west in their early 20s and have lived outside of Africa longer than inside of africa. They still speak somali perfectly, obviously. I've seen fobs who speak broken English and broken somali, it's just sad.

I guess to integrate more. Why would you speak a shitty language when you can speak a first world language

All the fobs I've seen don't want to integrate and will force you to speak Somali
