Stroking my Australinimo
We all know that one immigrant (yes all of you) who would freak out and engage in physical altercation because a white person was racist to them but I will never understand the over-reaction.
I grew up in the West all my life but I still feel like an outsider. I know that white people in the West will see me as a different person and I am not offended by it at all. I completely understand because my culture, religion and skin is 'foreign' to them so what do I do? I just ignore them and move on or try to change the subject.
The people I know from different backgrounds started showing their racist colors when they got too comfortable with me, it hurts but I respect that. I like honest people than two faced snakes. Same with my work colleagues who always complain about foreigners in their country for several justifiable and understandable reasons.
It's almost as if they completely forgot what happened just 2 generations ago when everyone was able to express their true colors freely and most of them are alive today. You will never be accepted by white people in the West so no need for the over-reaction. No need to brag about it when they give you a citizenship or call yourself Western country-your ethnic in the same line.
So, why feel offended?
