why do Oromos even want to leave Ethiopia

Some want independence. Some don't.
I want Ethiopia to become an union of autonomous states that only come together when necessary; like for mutually beneficial economic things, wars, etc.

why though? why split up the country instead of working to get peace?
We don't have to split up. Just become less centralized and give more autonomy to the states similar to America. Ya know?
Less power in addis and more power to jiijiga, and other capitals.
