Well of course whites have wealth, 160 million acres of free land under the home stead act, land grant colleges to teach them to farm, housing subsidies with the new deal, the GI bill after WW2, and even today they get billions for rehab for their drug habit. No race has gotten as much so obviously they have wealth. It’s disproportionate though. Even with generations of handouts some are still bums. How?

Probably never, the key to success is humility. Helping the people of your country even if you don’t like them. Working with neighbors even if you don’t like them. The French and British have centuries of bad blood but now they love eachother. They know if both succeed it’s more beneficial for both. Do you see Ethiopia and Somalia coming to that conclusion? No, and then there’s the issue of Somalia having untapped resources. Us using our oil depreciates the Arabs oil. So it’s easy for them to bribe Somali politicians to do nothing. And then internal unity, most somali people don’t see past Somalia. Locals hate other clans because they don’t see the full scope of the world. They feel like their biggest enemy is down the street. And part of the reason is that most of the diaspora has gotten to comfortable in the west. Somalia is a second option for us. When I went rolled around the US it was night and day. Urban areas poor blacks and a few commuting/condo owning whites. Suburbs white only. That was the whole eastern seaboard. New England was just whites but Philly, Baltimore, NYC, and DC all follow this pattern. The south was a little different
In the South, mostly everyone is poor and ignorant. Whites don't fair better than their black neighbours. A shitty section of the US. Atlanta, Georgia hosts most affluent blacks. But the state is ruled by rednecks still. They can't even vote there easily anymore since all their voting stations are either cancelled or moved far away where they wouldn't bother going for commute problems. Their governor kicked off hundreds of thousands from the voter registration so he could win. It is like a third world country there.
If they offered me the biggest villa for free in anywhere south Minnesota, I wouldn't take it. Northern states have their share of ignorant people outside big cities like Minneapolis. But the southern states man, third world countries all of them.
Are you from the US? No one calls Minnesota the North.
It is a northern state or Midwestern, depends. Borders Canada which is most northern country on the hemisphere. Of course, all things being relative anyway.

Northern chunk of the East coast is the 'north' or northeast.
They don't idolize but they grow up with them in the poor neighbourhoods where some somalis found affordable housing sxb. Sometimes what you know and identify with seem to be the best. The somali families who ended up in the suburbs are doing better. White majority schools and neighbourhoods afford better education and a more mainstream culture.
There is leadership vacuum and good role models for african americans.
