Many of the diaspora think like this. The majority of us have spent less than 30-40 years in the West but we assume we know better than natives in Somalia. The average deadbeat diaspora thinks they can fix Somalia when they could not compete and succeed in the West. Majority of us diaspora are full of it. We have people living in housing then they want to comment on how to fix Somalia. Such a crazy bunch we are.

and we learn time and time again how toxic the Somali community is, and what happens when you become way to invested in "Saving" the Somali people. I seen too many folks getting hurt from this. Because the diaspora are nearly always wealthier and more educated. Studies have shown malnutrition at a young age has a detrimental impact on IQ and thus a significant amount of the Somali population is suffeting.

Due to our education we also are more likely to be able to actually run a government which suits the needs of the IC and the populace.

If you’re successful in the west, you should invest in Somalia since you already have the experience. If not, shut it.

we're definitely way more privileged, somalis in the west have access to top quality education and have the ability to become millionaires and even billionaires, well educated somalis can help teach somalis in somalia very important nation building skills and somali millionaires and billionaires can invest in building institutions, infrastructure, businesses, security, agriculture, factories etc. If we play our cards right this can be a reality
