Anyway to answer your question @Fanatical, Somali moms (not all obv) baby their sons out of ignorance. An educated mom wouldn’t do so. They think they’re helping their son when in reality they’re disabling him. The daughter is actually the one benefiting because she learns how to get things done and be independent at a young age. Given she doesn’t have a victim complex and sticks to the Deen.
