Somalia is run on Aid (no offence) from the west if you reach out to the russsia/Iran/china trio the aid would be cut and cooperation stopped .

Russia could do go for SL by us giving them base in Berber . Because the IC barely interacts with us and less than 10% of budget is aid . So if we start warming up with Russia china then quickly the west would start wanting to engage with us , give us lots of aid , maybe even push for our recognition !
