Why don't Somalis pave their towns/cities with cobblestone?

It doesn't cost much, there is plenty of stones all over the land and it looks elegant.
Few years back I have toured the old town of Stockholm and it was simply alluring
to the eye. Perhaps Mogadishu will be the first Somali city to introduce widespread
cobblestone pavements in some streets?
