Auto brewery syndrome : also known as gut fermentation syndrome, is a rare medical condition in which it intoxicating quantities of ethanol are produced through endogenous fermentation within the digestive system.

Just read it's from a bacterial overgrowth. How is it normal again ?

Seeing the amount of trouble these people go through should make you understand why alcohol is haram.

Layman term the person eat carbohydrates and gets drink of it. And besides that if god didn't want anyone to drink or smoke weed he/she would made impossible to get drunk or high.

@gilic merch thats not how deenta works. God gives you a choice and you will be judged based on your decision. So you have alcohol available, either you avoid it or you dont.

You don't really have a choice if god has already pre-determined whether you will go to hell or heaven.

I don't see the point in ingesting alcohol, since the body naturally produces it in small quantities (0.01-0.03 mg/100mg in the blood). kkkkkk There's no need to supplement. Plus our people aren't meant to drink it. It's more suited for midget Habeshis that are gaalo, because it's culturally acceptable to them. Being brought up Somali/Muslim always taught me to consider drinkers as lost souls (particularly the Somali ones) that drink their miseries away. It seems like escapism even for those social drinkers. I've stumbled across some Somali drunks and they can't even hold their liqor. They also act foolish and hopeless like Alibasteens. That's why I don't think it was ever meant for them and I'm not even speaking from a religious stance but also culturally speaking. I am against all recreational drug usage too. Not to mention alcohol is a money draining expenditure for gaalos, I don't see why they bother either.

Isn't auto-brewery syndrome a rare condition where eating complex carbohydrates actually makes you drunk, without the aid of alcohol.

Brother, Islam does not teach to condemn a brother or a sister for their shortcomings.
The guidance is with Allah(swt)
You can dislike their actions, nothing else.

I just see a person that needs help, I have not condemned them so to speak. A lost soul can change their trajectory and walk on the right path. However, people can only help themselves. If they want to change that is solely up to them and no amount of swaying through my disapproval of their actions or guidance can change that. I hope the best for them nonetheless.

There was something definite about the words chosen, that I disliked, now that you've made your intention clear, the only thing left to say is, may Allah guide and keep us all in the right path.--

Alcohol isn't haram, you can touch it and even use it to clean wounds or gargle it as mouth wash. You're not allowed to drink it because it causes liver and kidney failure.Quran says it has some good (red wine has been found to aid heart health) but the bad (alcoholism, organ failure, loss of awareness of dangers etc) far outweighs the good.
