Why is my skin tone so severely different?

You look like your from buntland ,same skin tone and facial features have you decided to do some DNA ?
No, because 1. I don’t spend the money 2. They can be kinda faulty 3. It’s completely obvious that I’m of Somali and Tuareg descent with some ajnabi lineage. My maadow side actually is very knowledgeable about the family history. Not as much as my dad’s but way more than other African and Latino Americans . I probably have a bit of Arab blood in me because both my Tuareg and Somali family’s original surname was Arabic and they’re hairy asf.

My skin tone is mad wierd wallahi, it looks so off. Good thing I’m a hijabi though so no one would ever notice.

My face hands and feet are far darker than the rest of my body why is that?

Why am I like this? I feel like the opposite of woman that bleach their skin. I’ve searched things up and I’m still stuck. Obviously the darker parts are the parts that hit the sun since I’m a hijabi laakin my female cousins don’t look like this, just a slight tan that goes away after the summer. But I look like this year round. I’ve only recently started wearing sunscreen so maybe it’s the UV rays? Idk honestly I’m no dermatologist.

Omg i have the same issue lol

The ordinary and the inky list are both affordable brands that sell a bunch of acids. Most of their stuff is 10-14$. Try purchasing one of their azalic acid, niancinimide or alpha arbutin serums. These will all clear up your dark spots. Just use a good cleanser and follow up with one of these serums. Make sure to use sun screen!

Nacalaa these tings trynna get me on acid .
No thank you abaay all stick to my likkle black spot on the nose tip

95% of the skincare industry is a scam. All you need is a cleanser, a moisturizer and sunscreen. Maybe 1 extra product if you’re extra but it’s not needed.
Yeah that’s pretty much my moms skincare routine, she’s 50 but when we’re out people ask if we’re sisters and Somali adheers be flirting heavy. Skin has a lot to do with hormones, and overall health. That’s why my doctor told me to fix that first. Then I was able to clear my hyperpigmentation with extra products but if you have normal skin you won’t need that! So if you take care of your skin and don’t ruin it with Diana lol you won’t need a lot of products

True. Right now I have a pretty healthy diet and I workout consistently. I use CeraVe cleanser, this random CeraVe product and a moisturizer.

Yes my dermatologist recommended CeraVe to me he said it’s very good. That’s why I recommended their body wash to OP since they have products to help with hyperpigmentation, but I suggested she check her health too! Traditional Somalis back home like the reer badiye ppl have the best skin so it’s all about health not the quantity of products you use!

No but my doc noticed though during my last check u”p, I didn’t care before but when my doc told me to come back for it (i havent gonw back bcuz im in turkey) I’ve become a bit more interested.
I also think it’s normal. The doctor may want u to come back to trick u into something u don’t need that’ll get them money.

Here guys. Watch this Somali dermatologist’s video. She has her own skincare line in the making btw! Mashallah ❤❤ But she explains why skin darkens, it has to do with irritation and other factors making your pigmentation cells more active than they need to be. She also mentions treatments!
yesss I love her

Exfoliate your body with this and it will get rid of your tan start using sunscreen and protect your skin from prolonged sunlight. For the face use goat milk soap and vitamin C serum and be gentle with it.

It smells so badly, your whole body will smell like a old person. What a waste of a shower markaa. I guess you could mix it with a fragranced body lotion unfortunately I have sensitive, dry skin…:bell:
