Why is suicide haram?

when your body is not working you cant walk or use a toilet. its should be your choice if you want to continue in this dunya with a faulty body.
God is merciful not a torturer if everyday is agony it should be your choice to leave.

i didnt come here for a pep talk. what i want to know why does islam give that conclusion. there must be exceptions to the rule. my best friend killed herself and i would like to see her again

This dunya is a test and the tests are different it can be sickness or poverty or war or children or politics.

Allah SWT made jannah for us which is eternal happiness so do you think we will go there without hardship of course no.

Allah SWT said in Quran

أَمۡ حَسِبۡتُمۡ أَن تَدۡخُلُواْ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَأۡتِكُم مَّثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ خَلَوۡاْ مِن قَبۡلِكُمۖ مَّسَّتۡهُمُ ٱلۡبَأۡسَآءُ وَٱلضَّرَّآءُ وَزُلۡزِلُواْ حَتَّىٰ يَقُولَ ٱلرَّسُولُ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ مَعَهُۥ مَتَىٰ نَصۡرُ ٱللَّهِۗ أَلَآ إِنَّ نَصۡرَ ٱللَّهِ قَرِيبٞ​

Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while such [trial] has not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you? They were touched by poverty and hardship and were shaken until [even their] messenger and those who believed with him said, "When is the help of Allah?" Unquestionably, the help of Allah is near

So killing youself is like cuting the exam paper and leaving the class which will end you with failure and consequences

Some people will not have enough good deeds to enter jannah so Allah will test them with hardship so they reach that level.

If you know that you will be kidnapped fight until they kill you.

For example you are a solider and know that you may get captured then you can use grenade and charge to enemies so you and them die
