Why isn't Qabil used to push Somali unity and nationalism?

It may sound counter intuitive but this my question.
Qabil is obviously the major force of Somali society but there is one thing that is hard to grasp which is how some somalis don't value somalinimo as if it was kinda lika a Qabil.
Example: I'll just pick a random Qabil : Habar Gidir may have subclans that hate each other but they'll generally have a common cause for the greater good of Habar Gidir, moving to the big clan Hawiye definitely have subclans that may despise each other but in general they'll form some kind of unity for Hawiye interests against other Qabils. The example should go on to say that Hawiye, Darood, Isaaq etc may have issues between each other but they unite for the greater good of Somalis . Unfortunately this doesn't happen, it was maybe happening before the civil war but it doesn't anymore. The issue in our society other than Qabil in and of it self is that we can't unite for the common good of the Somali people. It's crazy that an Abgaal can unite with Habargidir for Hawiye interests, a Majeerteen can unite with Mareexaan or Dh for Darood interests but all of these clans can unite for Somali interests against foreigners.
An Abgaal may have issues with Habargidir but he will unite against Darood , why shouldn't an average Somali of any Qabil who has issues with other Qabils not unite in the same with other somalis against Ethiopia, Kenya and other enemies of our country?

Same way there is no honour amongst thieves there is no honour amongst qabalist. Its the same crab in bucket mindset and hyper paranoia.

You cant build something uniting with something inherently divisive. The wrong tools to build something that unites somalis.

True but it's still weird that we don't treat somaliness as a big tent Qabil that goes over all others just like Hawiye or Darood is a big tent that goes over the various subclans even when they fight

I think qabil is too fragile and wasn’t intended to be used in the modern ages.

All you need is enough dipshits online to fuel qabil tensions. We often forget how qabil has not really kept up with the times.
Is there any type of institution that does qabil dipolomacy. Is there any laws or regulations when it comes to qabil.
Do they even have fixed recognised borders they claim and if violated who is an authority to seek dispute with.

The concept of the nation state has evolved and matured with the times qabil hasn’t.

Qabiil in itself is not the problem. Rather it is the way it is being used. For example you can use a knife to chop your dinner ingredients or God forbid use it to murder. Somalis have always taken pride in their lineage, there are very few societies where every person more or less can trace their line back 25 to 30 forefathers. It is part and parcell of our culture, and builds around it. To be a Somali, you have to be able to trace your line back to the main noble clans. Every clan elder has the family line memorised and written down.

Indeed it can be used as a positive uniting factor. Our culture of clans and families is a beautiful thing. Think about it, in a world were people can barely name who their grandfather is, and sadly increasingly who their father is, we have Somalis the complete opposite.

I used to be like you thinking we can reform qabil but I recognised it will always turn into qabyalaad. Same way socialism eventually turns into communism. Qabil is inherently a divisive tool.

If you do usher in a time of peace it will be lying in dormant for the second a bit of turnmoil springs up people are gonna use qabyalaad to justify their shitty beliefs.

If our options are have a unified and healthy country or nation which can all trace its lineages back to mythical sheikhs then I pick the first.

Why be so loyal it’s inaccurate anyways somalis were around far before the advent of islam. Our clans didn’t originate from arab mutts.

@Lightshow why don’t you elaborate on why you dislike my opinion rather than just giving me a qashin.

A man has to keep his qashin ratio low to be deemed respectable.
