That's happening while they are united with a common enemy somalia, imagine when that common enemy is gone, what the hell will unite them when even nomad kills over a water well, imagine a clan who is in power saying he is the govt and has power over you and there is no common enemy anymore such a somalia as they were given their secession like south sudan was!!!

I can't believe the world entertains this place in their media, I cant believe it at all and shows you the poor understanding they have and just follow people words not what's actually unavoidable.

By the way this isn't only specific to somaliland, this is common all around somalia regardless what clan secedes. So I am not picking a bone with them, I am just highlighting how their secessionism is truly a nitemare project and not representative of the unavoidable facts that tribe and clan breaks down further in itself and it's every group-sub group-then man for himself. It's a vicious cycle that goe down and so will the unity of that state if there is no common shared enemy keeping them focussed elsewhere.

Somalia stability is definitely in unity as we can compete and focus on the other clans outside our regions to keep ourselves and internal structures united. It works and is far better then 5 mini states that secede then has internal wars in each one lol.

Federal can work = keeps unity plus competition alive so they dont break down inside
Secession = break down internally as common shared enemy isnt present and tribalism structures are inevitable to go below
Centralism = can work also but may result in a civil war again as noone wants to be ruled by the other due to suspicions.

I don’t really blame SL for their campaign of secession, the federal gov is very biased against them. So in a way SL is being pushed away.

But if they do secede SL should seek good relationship with its neighbor because they have no choice.
