As a highly homogenous coastal nation with little history of resident foreigners, it is perhaps unsurprising that racism runs rampant, especially as anti-discrimination laws do not exist outside of a few special cases. Bantu's, most of them the descendants of forced laborers (Slaves) Either bought from the Arabs or gained through warfare. These ethnic Bantu residents of Somalia are regarded as un-Somali despite, in most cases, having no linguistic or cultural ties to any other nation for generations. Nationalist tensions frequently inflame opinions of both Somali's and Bantus. Somali culture is indeed traditionalist and ultra-conservative, even compared to the Diaspora who still banish family members who marry or associate with Outsiders. Conveniently overlooked is a row of problems making the country less than ideal, such as the Crazy birth rate.


What Somalia needs for success

1. Peaceful resolution to the Autonomous regions of Puntland and Somaliland (Re-joining the Union is Priority)

2. Destruction of all Extremist groups and Sentiment

3. Secret Police (Ik it's generally hated however it could work if there's more then one encouraging both to gather surveillance on each other)

How is Somalia going to afford sending 900k + People across hundreds of miles? keep in mind this is the same Somalia that is fighting insurgents in it's vital regions

Simply make life a living hell for them so they get asylum acceptance from other countries. Most Ugandan Indians left through applying for asylum elsewhere.

Seems idealistic we could drive the Extremists to them and use the bantu's as canon fodder for them wearing them out and eventually kicking them out? 2 problems solved with one stone

You can judge a lot about a society from the way they treat their poor and their minority citizens.

When there's no justice for those that can't stand up for themselves, just know there's no justice in other key areas of that society.

Atleast halfies are half ethnic Somali though. And to me half Somalis from mother and father is same to me =non somali. Tbh I'd prefer for all those groups to be kicked out even the halfies (I'd have to deliberate over those 3/4)

I look Somali and speak Somali, but unfortunately there is a large number of people who worship patrilineality and/or just hate halfies (especially on SSpot). Case in point @Blade1's post.

Some Somali's won't see you as somali if you tell them your half

The bantus are not going any where. They have the most fertile land even when they are marginalised. They learn the deen and have some of most knowledgeable sheekhs in southern Somalia.

Many of them now are fighters from Alshabab.

They have MPs at both federal and regional level. The diaspora somali bantus are building houses back home specially in xamar.
