A Muslim student claims she was spat at and branded a 'terrorist' as fellow passengers watched on during a shocking racist outburst on a London bus.

Iqra Mohamed said a 'crazed' man subjected her to a tirade of Islamophobic abuse as she travelled wearing a hijab in Islington, north London.

The 20-year-old claims fellow passengers looked on without stepping in to help and that some even laughed at her ordeal.

Iqra, from Finsbury Park, north London, said she 'didn't think she'd leave the bus alive' during the incident at around 5.30pm on Sunday, until a pal stepped in to defend her.
Iqra told the London Evening Standard : "I knew he was talking about me when I turned around and he said 'she’s got the cheek to look at me'.

"He moved seats and then called me a racist and a terrorist. He started to go crazy - he said people like me were coming into this country and taking all the jobs.

"I do think it’s sad no one spoke up for me. The bus was full at one point and you could tell no one wanted anything to deal with him."

Somalis are pretty racist themselves so I'd say it was well-deserved.

You can't step in in London. Several have a go heroes have been stabbed. One guy had his eyes gauged out because he tried to defend a lady from abuse on the top deck of a bus. I'm glad she's alive because people like that turn very violent.

is this the girl on twitter who was venting against somali guys(generalizing), because some of the somali men on the bus didn't come to her aid?

Yup this is the twitter chick. She wants somali dudes to get stabbed just because she got offended on a bus. It's is better to ignore it rather than for it to become violent like @Shamis said

somali men are cowards unfortunately nowadays, wouldn't supreme if there were few somali lowlifes on the bus too afraid to protect their women

very sad indeed. that trauma will haunt her forever. that will be a wake up call for he to gtfo there and go home to have her dignity back.
