What share share does djibouti get if we're exporting the oil and gas. Both should bring in a combined 15 billion a year. 15%? 20%?

The oil will be used domestically while the natural gas will be exported to China. China is paying Djibouti to use its land and port to ship the gas, so it doesn't relate to the actual oil/gas concessions. I'm assuming it will be around 1billion a year or less as China still has to build the entire infrastructure up (4billion for the pipeline and refinery).

On a side note djibouti better stop taxing on the port fees as Ethiopia will now have access to Eritrea. Eritrean ports were previously free of charge as well. They will still be untrustworthy and that Ethiopia still needs to diversify so no serious worries. If Ethiopia and Djibouti go 50/50 on the tadjourah port then we would own Africa. The trade between Africa and the Chinese will be in the hundreds of billions. Plus inter Africa free market will make it even more lucrative.

I don't think ethiopia would ever move away from Djibouti cos we're the only country you're connected to via railway at the moment. The port is our only big revenue stream and had leverage so we used it. As we diversify more and more we'll definitely reduce the fees.
