Walaal, no one is saying Islamophobia isn't real - Muslim women who wear hijab are in more danger than women who don't, nevertheless, with or without hijab, the world has people who hate you for anything that makes you different. By removing the hijab, she would still be targeted for being black, an immigrant, a woman, etc. - it's a slippery slope to say removal of religious identifiers would solve anything. She was targeted for a piece of fabric on her head - that isn't far removed from being attacked for how much melanin you have in your skin
