Yeah we have a lot of obstacles to tackle. It's one thing for Somalis in the diaspora to send money back home, many already do but when corruption and auto genocide and terrorism is so rampant in our nation it does not contribute much

exact, we send back 1 billion dollar in remittance but most goes in feed the populations. the diaspora invest in clinics and schools because it safe, we don't invest in business that will be plundered by warlord or is shake down by corrupt government official or even extremist groups. in the north is some what different but in the south the most dynamic sector with the largest population, somali factionalism precludes such confidence.

I have to take you word for it, but if they could travel to gulf for work you think they wouldn't. the reason why this campaign to ship our girls came about is because ethiopians, indonesians and Philippines the usually reservoir for foreign maids refused to send their daughters and since somalis is "in the arab league" they are a replacement population for ethiopians. the problems is can we insure that our girls will not be abuse and rape in gulf if measures are put in place that will ensure their adequate protection that absolutely but a ruin country like somalia does have the resource to create adequate over sight for our daughter going to gulf. there other issue is that some bourgeois somalis believe somalis should not do menial labour like we some type of royalty. waar we were starving 5 year ago, beggar can be chooser.
