@Periplus sorry to mention them again bro but aside from their undemocratic and monarchical traits, what I love about the UAE political system is a) the central government is more powerful than then each emirate even though the latter has broad autonomy and b) the federal authorities and every emirate government gets along fine BECAUSE emirate leaders are SIMULTANEOUSLY federal leaders. You can't argue with yourself now can we?

Tbh, there’s a clear hierarchy in the UAE government.

Abu Dhabi is the monarchy and the Dubai royal family hold the VP, PM and Ministry of Defence position.

The other Emirates have token say in their own government.

Then let Puntland and Hiirshabelle lead the others, what do you say :trumpsmirk:

Same thing, they are both outfits owned by UAE government

Not the Same thing. A subsidiary has much less money. This is from the official website.

its funny how they add some P&O on their website that makes them look good like Barcelona and hide the ones that make them look bad like Bosaso. :russ:

We can build Bosaso on our own. The deal was good at the time but they didn't keep their promise. However there's also the fact that we have progressed economically and politically. They were going to spend 100 million which is what they spent in Berbera. That's chump change for managing a port for 30 years. Unlike Somaliland we have proven the capability to built our own infrastructure projects. The deal should be cancelled immediately.

They literally signed Bosaso just to kill the port. It was competition to Berbera and now it isn’t.

But the PL government won’t do anything because UAE is their sugar daddy in their fight against the FGS.

They should grow some balls and tell the UAE that this isn’t okay by any means.

They owned Djibouti but signed their Berbera deal as well around the same time. The construction in Berbera didn't start until 3 years later.

Ethiopia is a large country every port in Somalia can get it's share a single port is a danger to Ethiopia that's why they looked to divest into Berbera.

Also it didn't help the manager they sent got killed in broad daylight and Pandemic squeezed international trade.

Didn’t DP World and Djibouti get into a long running dispute about their port.

:russ:Wallahi you spoke words of truth. I like it when people are honest. I always found it funny some users on here talk about not supporting dictatorship or whatnot.
Deni is the current amir of PL and enjoys the loyalty of his people as would whoever replaces him. We are not the chaotic southie zoo. We follow one Amir at a time my Gaare friend from Liban zone

You didn't keep your promise by ensuring the safety of the staff. What we know for certain is you have the capability to assassinate port managers, unlike Somaliland.
