Let me know when y’all understand there’s more to life than camel herding. While our companies dominate the ports and infrastructure of Mogadishu.
We passed that stage centuries ago abti when we ruled and dominated xamar for centuries. Even today the only clan that is a majority in 8 of the 17 districts in xamar is none other than abgaal, and out of these 8 districts, 4 make the top 5 by population. Xamar is atleast 50% abgaal

Economically we dominate xamar together, there is no animosity between the hawiye clans of xamar today although abgaal is probably much more economically dominant due to sheer size. I was just pointing out that historically speaking, xamar was benadiri, abgaal and murusade. HG as well as all the other hawiyes in the city migrated within the last century

it was settled and lived in before the British came by sub clans of Naleyeh Ahmed. The British decided to make it the capital of Sanaag over jidali. How do you not know this?
Ceerigaabo district has a Harti majority, Ceerigaabo town (the urban land itself) is on land that belongs to HY.

Dhulbahante and Warsangeli settled in Ceerigaabo town during the British colonial period.

While Galdogob has a significant RB population it's surprising to see it designated under us rather than Leelkase. Interesting stuff. Been to Bacaadweyn as well good mix of Reer Mudug MJs.

British colonial Surveys had Dhulbahante in particular Naleye Ahmed in Ceerigabo, so if they took those surveys when they 1st went there, wouldn’t that mean they(dhulbahante) were there before they (British) arrived there?

The town is shared between hy garweyne and nalaye ahmed with warsangali’s and hj minority.

Yet we own Xamar. Politically and economically. Ain’t nobody wanting to even live in Abgaal part of Mogadishu. Murusade are absolutely nobodies compared to both of us tho.

Forget the hateful jealous poster from S/dhexe,

Here below is the Historical claim of mogadishu by HGs, it's a factuals consensus on the ground that HG practically was in high number in Mogadishu before the Italians came and that in Somalia it was HG and MJ that were top dogs!

In Mogadishu it's only HGs that dominate the economy, the Banks, Telecoms, Hospitals, Universities, Hotels, and all financial institution is dominated by HGs and even all the Government Ministerial institutes is in our areas.

Of course there were Naaleye Ahmed in Ceerigaabo district, after all that is their deegaan. Same with Warsangeli.

Ceerigaabo under the British is what is today called Sanaag. There were tens of thousands of Dhulbahante in Ceerigaabo, but the town has always been a HY settlement. The Dhulbahante and Warsangeli moved there because the British made it the center of the largest district in British Somaliland.

The Warsangeli and Dhulbahante who were the majority of Erigavo district’s population moved to Erigavo city for urban opportunities like trade and education. Ceerigaabo town was never carro Harti, but the district was Harti majority (60%) same as Sanaag today.

Warsangali and Dhulbahante were a minority in Cerigaabo district (modern day Sanaag) even during British protectorate era:

The demographics of the region were:

Musa Abokor (HJ) 40,000
HY 20,000
Warsangali 20,000
Dhulbahante 10,000 (20,000 on the map is split between southern Sanaag and northern Sool and includes places like Taleex.

So Isaaq in Sanaag were 60,000 and Darod 30,000 at the time.

These numbers explain why Isaaq received 3 MPs for the region (2 HJ, 1 HY) while Darods received only 2 (both Warsangali, Dhulbahante never got any MPs in Sanaag).

Today, a huge chunk of Warsangali migrated to Puntland and Dhulbahante to Sool, its probably 70/30 split for Sanaag between Isaaq and Darod.

Good catch. I warned everyone OP would color the IM Lewis map with Daaroodism fantasies

Fake! Who gave Dir Dhabo to isaaq?
:trumpsmirk::ivers::ummhmm:

@Bariire put Isaaq under Dir. Isaaq is not part of Dir or any clan within the Samaale/Irir confederation. The 4 major Somaaliweyn lineages are Samaale confederation, Raxanweyne confederation, Jabarti confedration, and the youngest lineage which the Isaaq clan
