FOB? He is there in his country.
He’s speaking like a Dandy
He speaks better than most immigrants in the UK. And yeah, he's mimicking the BBC presenter voice too much, like he's narrating a story. He's also mixing casual and formal speech, which makes it sound forced.nah you can still tell he's not from here, it feels too "airy"
It's the soft spoken voice that makes him sound like a woman. His accent alone is enough to convince non English speakers. He could definitely land a few translator jobs in Kenya or customer service roles etc.It is very nice he can do that while living in 3rd world country, but that is not unique, many students from 3rd countries speak perfect US accent, very few I met speak good RP british accent.
Other thing bothering me is that, his way of speech, extremely annoying.
The word fob has been misused, how can one be a fob if he/she lives in his/her country or region.FOB? He is there in his country.
Fob is a useful word. I know it originally means "fresh off the boat," but it's also an easy and efficient way to refer to someone from back home. The word fob has been misused, how can one be a fob if he/she lives in his/her country or region.
