Why would the sun get jealous of the moon stealing its light?
Comparing yourself to someone else is straight-up pickme behaviour. It shows a lack of confidence in your appearance and screams low self-esteem. Not everyone is going to want what you have to offer, even if you're hypothetically conventionally attractive. There’s no universal standard of beauty. That’s why I find people who say this laughable.

I’ve known zero-sum people who’ve tried to dig into the same bin of admirers as though it were a fire sale at Goodwill. I tend to have an abundance mentality, so I would’ve directed those Abdis their way if they weren’t irrationally thirsty and combative, like this is the Hunger Games, but the prize is a couple of ninjas. I'm not about to play musical chairs for slim pickings when there are men on the outside, too.
:drakelaugh:My philosophy is to stay in your lane. If you look good only you are your competition. And someone who is into you will only want you. And won't try to triangulate.
