Somali Society stigmatises the modelling industry as "Feminine" and "Unmasculine" which isnt the case hence you see less somali male models, heck I see some somali guys in real life who look 100x better than the few male models we have and all that potential is going to waste, modelling industry is something somalis can do very well in if given a chance.
Its the same thing with sports, With somali society disregarding and underestimating the field not even viewing it as a lucraticve career pathway that can be capitalised off of if given a chance, I mean if you think about it somali men are genetically blessed and capable of being able to dominate in certain sport fields like track or basketball, Thankfully the next generation of somalis in diaspora are way more open minded so maybe we will be seeing an increase in somali male athletes, models, celebrities etc.
And to answer that guys tweet he is very ignorant and unaware that if somalis pursue such things it is very beneficial for Somali PR, The development of the somali celeb class in diaspora and for the somali community and people as a whole.
