I'm not too surprised tbh, I thought the Arabs would support us simply because Ethiopia is not a member of the Arab League, so its obvious that they should support Somalia, who IS a member of the Arab league. However, Ethiopia has more sway in the African continent so I'm not surprised the AU chose to be neutral.

These are the weak Arabs with no money or influence. The gulf Arabs rule the arab world, and they actively destabilize Somalia. Just look what they are doing in Sudan. Look what they did in Yemen, the moment we tell them to leave Somalia and stop funding terrorist and political groups that oppose the central government, don't think they wouldn't do in Somalia what they are doing in Sudan. I obviously welcome their support, but that doesn't mean we should let our guards down and think they are our brothers, they are far from that!
The UAE & Saudi Arabia the real heavy hitters in the Arab World have not come out against the Mou between Ethiopia & SL. The UAE is heavily invested in SL and Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia is heavily invested in Ethiopia as well.
