Some people want out of this transitory, evanescent worldly life. Living in a Muslim majority land, one where your ancestors descended from is the most pragmatic.
But I understand your point, most (95%+) will remain, live and die in their current country, Somalis moving back to Somalia was a real push in the late 90's/early 00's. Parents genuinely thought this was short term. Now its just a pipedream for most.

I like most other people in my friends and family circle plan on moving back and contributing to our homeland. Wouldnβt expect an individual who despises muslim, and everything they stand for, wanting to go back βhomeβ. What you do or believe is your prerogative, but keep your hypocrisy and or opinions to yourself. You donβt speak for the majority of us and never will. Instead might I suggest focusing on achieving your goals, or not, good lad.

I would say for most other people their diasporas would never go back . But somalis are a sort of special case with how much we travel and move. Thousands of somaljs moved from scandavia to to the u.k . Post 2015 we saw an explosion in the numbers of somalis who went back home even just for the summer. To the point that probaly 1 in 3 famlies have at least visited for the summer. There also just the fact that the more successful a somali person becomes the more they start traveling for some reason.
