The term Afrocentrist is inaccurate. You only see west Africans doing this shi. Also they are almost always wrong. They claim history that has nothing to do with them simply because it’s in Africa, most notably the pyramids of Giza
If newcomer Arabs can claim Egypt, why not Madows. Sure, they overdo it, but when we look at the origin of humanity, all humans are from Africa allegedly, and thus, 'Black' is the origin.
Imagine if people made generalisations about us saying we "beg Arabs" because of the ana-Arabs among us? We'd take issue with that. Don't do the same to other groups of people. Also, be more specific about who you mean by "Madow" because that's to broad a category that we ourselves fit into.

Being from Africa isn’t synonymous with being black. You could be from Alexandria in Egypt and a lack of UV light rays and not being next to the equator would mean you’d have lighter skin. It’s simply environment and adaptation.Whereas if someone was from the mountains in Kenya. They’d be very dark skinned as they’re closer to the equator and have more UV light. Also new comer Arabs at least conquered the area and assimilated the population slightly. It’s like us claiming the history of habash cuz we conquered it in the middle ages, it would make sense if we assimilated the population. But if not I wouldn’t say so
