I might have confused you with the another person with osmanya script username. My apologies, but it’s still a false offensive myth Somalis tell about them that they deny, like Barawini being descended from Portuguese
No worries, mate. I apologise for cussing. I am not in the habit of othering Somalis of any kind, but when someone tells me whom he is, I must respect that, even if I disagree. It is a common decency, and courtesy.
Is it a myth or are they really descend of Jews. I heard from my parents and my relatives they are yahud. Whenever a child is born we give them magdhow (compensation 💰).
I actually have no clue, and have no reason to second-guess their desires. I did read about the practice.

yibir are not of jewish origin they're somalis and even rendille have yibirs. They used to be the priest-kings before Islam.

they however say that they are descended from a Muslim shiek and that aw barkadle was just jealous of their ancestor.

Thanks for the info, do you know why we pay yibir small gift after childbirth, as a form of blood compensation. Also I heard Yibir have a language that they keep secret from the rest of the somali, they are very mysterious clan.

The samaanyo? It’s tribute.
In exchange,
Yibir gives an amulet (makaraan), which protects the
newborn. If parents refuse to do this
offering, people say that the child will be like the Yibir:
or it will die, or it will become sterile

I put Books to the Test of Life
Time and time again i have said i do not hate arabs but i am neutral to them like i am to the rest of mankind. I do not hold them up to any pedestal. Because they are children of Adam(AS) just like i am.

Here are examples of me making that crystal clear

I am not making jokes at the Palestinian expense never have i mocked dead Palestinians or the struggle the are going through.

Also i am not obsessed with arabs unlike some other users who make frequent threads about how they are biologically, culturally and linguistically superior.
The Palestinian conflict surpasses ethnic distinctions; it fundamentally represents a religious war. Every confrontation, whether openly acknowledged or not, carries religious implications. Palestinians, regardless of their Arab lineage, essentially trace their ancestry back to Romans and Levantines, while communicating in Arabic. The opposing factions, such as the Jews, are indifferent to the ethnic backgrounds of their adversaries, be they Chinese, Somali, or Arab. This is a battle deeply entrenched in matters of faith and sacred texts.

The Ummah represents the unity of all believers. It is said that on the Day of Judgment, every Prophet will have their own nation and community, and the nation of Prophet Muhammad is expected to be the largest. The Yahud are striving for global dominance, aiming to prepare the way for the Messiah, the Dajjal. According to this belief, they seek to create their own version of paradise on earth, focusing solely on the materialistic world due to their beliefs about the afterlife. Just as it took the orchestration of two world wars to diminish the power of the Christian world and eliminate the authority of princes and kings, Islam is now perceived as the last adversary. Islam is the final challenge in their pursuit to establish Greater Israel and govern the world from Jerusalem.

This reminds me of the fact that most Ethiopian Jews in Israel are either in prison or unemployed. And that Israeli Government Minister that said that its right for the police ''to suspect an Ethiopian more than others''. And that Rabbi who compared Ethiopians to ''monkeys''. And the fact that a lot of Israelis share the same views. Idk why Ethiopians are so desperate to work and live alongside people who hate them all over the world. The economic benefits aren't worth it when the prejudice prevents you from getting a job in the first place.

it's not true, they feel insulted because somalis use it as an insult.

This is the Sultan of Yibir, Sultan Ahmed Jama who was referenced in the BBC programme, and also referenced in this article.

---------------------
The Yibir in Somalia is one of the few known Muslim communities worldwide that maintains Jewish descent.
[ ... ]
By tradition, Somalis believe that the Yibir possess dangerous supernatural powers. Taking advantage of this belief, Yibir spiritualists performed a variety of protection rituals for pay. Although they used Quranic scriptures in their rituals, research has indicated that the rituals encompass a range of seemingly pre-Islamic pagan traditions.
