More than half the Ethiopian military got destroyed by Tigrayan rebels, so to claim they can win against Egypt is a joke. They won't even need to start a war, just fund Oromo rebels and Ethiopia will be destroyed

At this point Ethiopia doesn't exist anymore, it's Oromos, Amhara, Somalis, Tigrayans, and others who all have different interests. Only the Amhara want to fight Egypt but they're now too busy getting butchered by Oromos.

Egypt needs a pro-Egypt faction leading Ethiopia. They can do this by first reducing Ethiopias size through supporting secession and thus reduce the possibility of a dam forming.

With or without war Ethiopia is still fucked. Egypt now sees Ethiopia as a threat because Ethiopia proved that they have the potential to manipulate the Nile, a river 95% of Egyptians directly depend on. Ethiopia has made an enemy of one of the most influential nations in Africa and to some extent the world and after the Tigray crisis I don’t expect the west to keep supporting them. Ethiopia won’t exist in 30 years tops now it’s just a case of can somalis take full advantage of their demise and grab as much land as possible?
