Aadan yabaal fell to shabaab this morning and the army all fled including head of the army odowaa and head of military court shuute except for murusade who were led by tuuryare

.Can somebody tell me why do the clans in the middle shabbele and middle jubba region's support alshabab so much ?
I'm pretty sure if the clans who lived in these areas didn't want alshabb there they wouldn't be there.
I used to think that this was alshabab taking advantage of wars and conflict between two completely different clans . Like a conflict between hawiye vs rahaweyn for example. But apparently it's between sub sub clans in these region's ?
Correct me if I'm wrong but this is like the equivalent of 2 mj sub clans fighting each other and alshabab taking advantage of that gap? Becuase that sounds mind boggling to me.

I could understand if this was between two seperate clans or between two sections of a clan like harti vs ogaden. But apparently this is between clans that are sub sub clans ?

The shabaab there is led my members of said subclans. Im pretty sure kabokutukade(reminds me of Native American names) is also Abgaal. They call shabaab on each other and neighboring clans.
