Martial law requires you to atleast be able to enforce it. What forces does he have for that? 3k of his men ran from 100 shabaab in Aadan Yabaal and tahriibed all the way to Guriceel abandoning the biggest SNA base in the region. Enforcing martial law would require bringing all forces to Xamar which means you abandon everything outside of it to shabaab and they just encircle you sooner.

HSM reign has been an abject disaster. The only positive was that the gov made advances against al shabaab since Cowsweyne almost all gains have been wiped out. I’d love to say I can’t believe it’s ending this way but I’m not surprised. He’s done nothing but sell public land in Banaadir for 5 years. Supporting him in the first place was inexcusable, but anyone who still supports him should never be listened to again.

What does selling land have to do with Xamar’s development? Public land has been sold off in spades the last three years with no knowledge of:
1. How much the land sold for
2. Where the funds have gone

I don’t mind the government reclaiming land that has been squatted on, but there’s no way you can support selling the land off to rich Somali businessman at below-market rates AND letting HSM + his cronies pocket the proceeds. This is a massive problem and I would be absolutely livid if HAK was president and was doing the same thing. I’m not ok with an Abgaal robbing the Somali people (and especially reer Banaadir) and I definitely wouldn’t be ok with a Murusade doing the same thing.

It doesn’t matter who’s in charge or what the govt stands for cause end of the day the army isn’t fighting for them they’re fighting for the people who are being oppressed by al shabaab it’s their job to liberate them you’re not dying for the govt you’re dying for the little boys being forced to blow themselves up in busy markets and the little girls being sold into sexual slavery. If all you care about is money then go drive a bajaaj you’ll make more money the army isn’t meant for people that just want to make a bunch of money and stay out the line of fire it’s meant for real men alphas who want to protect the weak and who take great joy in putting bullets in terrorist scum. If money is the #1 reason you’re in the army then you should pick a different line of work obviously money should be a big factor but it should be the second reason behind the fact that you get pleasure from killing these bastards

The AU troops get paid what they get paid cause they’re better trained they’re doing the bulk of the work and are risking their life for a country that isn’t even theirs you kick out the AU troops Mogadishu will burn to the ground within 24hrs. If reer konfuur want that $1000 they should prove that they’re worth it by showing the world they’re capable of taking over the mission.
