And waste billions of dollars of taxpayers' money? The war on drugs is a failure, only loser conservatives don't think so. People will always want to drink and do drugs. It's booked fighting against a tsunami with a paper towel.

"War on drugs" was not an actual war on drugs that was designed to remove drugs from society, but rather as a means for reaping massive profits by certain interests and criminalize certain groups in the process. There are many societies around the world that have effectively removed drugs through an appropriate combination of culture, values, beliefs, and law.

In the materialist world we live in where everything is about instant gratification and where YOLO mindsets are the norm, it seems impossible to imagine the effective removal of drugs/alcohol along with all other vices and immoralities.

Its because we aren't exposed to it growing uo, my cadaan friend said that her parents occasionally let her have a sip of their wine glasses when she was younger.

The only reason why I was being overly cautious was a cause I still live with my parents and didn't want to get caught. Best believe I hit up Google like before my first time to avoid the daqan celis lmaooo. I followed all the steps and everything made sure I ate before I went, paced myself etc.

I think it also depends on your company. Lbr some ppl are not good friends lol especially when they let you act a fool. At least I had a decent couple of folks around to tell me what to expect. There was this one guy who kept encouraging me to take shots even tho I told him it was my first time drinking the others gave him a right telling off

I didn't get the chance to prepare, bc it happened as a part of a game and I succumbed to a dare. It was spontaneous, in the woods, at a campfire, and I was already pushing it, cuz I was supposed to be heading home so I felt guilty af. It was a beer and it tasted awful, and I was just nursing it in my hand between surreptitious sips waiting for lightning to strike me where I stood, and the ground to swallow me up, and at some point I thought I heard dad's voice in the woods lol.

I didn't try it for another year or so, the anxiety was too real. I think the cloud of impending doom lasted a week after the incident kkk. Like I didn't wanna get near my parents, cuz I thought it was tranferable. I tried another drink a year later. I have mixed views on alcohol for complicated reasons. I don't condemn it, like I did for a good while, but I think ppl should be responsible drinkers, and esp be safe; don't drive drunk and don't overdue it.

Alcohol varies considerably from weak ciders to strong spirits so making an arbitrary judgement on them as a whole is pointless.

I personally will only drink at social gatherings. These Somalis that happen to suffer from alcoholism are mostly likely also suffering from a myriad of other problems.
