Back from a long hiatus and I want to share (and be corrected) about Somali cultural attire, I'll make a men's version if I can be bothered lol
Here are all costumes that I have come across so far:
Sadex Qayd: Arguably the oldest attire for women, it has many variants.
CLASSIC SADEX QAYD
Key notes: Tri-layered cloth, tied on shoulder style assymetrically
MODERN SADEX QAYD
Key Notes: The three layers are pre-cut instead of wrapped; its a simplified version
DJIBOUTIAN VARIANT
Key Notes: I noticed it's worn similarly to the Kurdad and Googorad (Which will be covered below), but it still has the three-layer element.
Guuntino
CLASSIC GUUNTINO
Key notes: Wrapped cloth, tied at shoulder, asymmetrical collarline
"OFF SHOULDER" GUUNTINO
Key notes: Minor variant, covering one entire shoulder
