Only 2 epsiodes in. Pretty good show depicting america during its early years. It was brutal struggle for european and native americans alike to survive in show

The thing that really stood out from show is the mormons. Lol never realized how recent the religion was with joseph smith and Brigham Young. They managed to convince fairly educated europenas in 1800s that they were both prophets of god same level as Moses and others. Shows when life gets bleak people want to believe in something better next life. Seems like pretty ridiculous religion to be honest though. Cant believe they have millions of followers and even famous people like Mitt Romney. When u born into something guess you will follow it no matter how crazy

I will say the ones I’ve run into in real life do actually practice religion and avoid sin as opposed to majority of Christian’s in America who not really practicing anything

its probably Jehovah they are the ones knockin on doors, handing out pamphlets, and setting up tables/booths. Ive never seen mormons recruitting. Mormons from what i am reading kind of racist and dont recruit as hard
