I never knew about the MDMA connection before, I have some relatives who chew but my parents are really against that stuff. They told me that people naively get into it by thinking that it will give them a boost of energy (so they can be productive and complete their work) but end up getting addicted/lazy.

Khaat or drugs are means to control the subjects and kill their resistance spirits. Thus, we see the drugs in streets of black neighbourhoods in states. Iran floods the gulf countries. Israel floods Egypt with drugs through Sinai. Kenya/Ethiopia flood Somalia with drugs/khaat/alcohol while they criminalize them in their countries.
