When used correctly, it is a amazing aid, when reading, contemplating, it suspends momentarily the bodies reliance upon food, killing your appetite, you go super angel mode.

How people abuse khat is a problem, not the plant itself, its like coffee.

When I had food poisoning when I first landed last year, I was told to chew a few khat leaves and it settled my stomach that had me running to the bathroom every few minutes, borderline cholera.
