just going purely by anecdotal evidence anyone would know that. Out of the men in my family and my dad's side I only know ONE person who's shorter than 171 cm (the supposed average). Wallahi.

And even he's an outlier because right after him the second shortest is 5'10" (178 cm). After him is me who's third shortest 180/5'11 (I'm still growing too so I'll definitely pass 6') tied with like two others. The rest are all above 6' the tallest being 6'6".

Even in my somali dugsi I rarely meet a guy I tower over. Whereas in my school full of south asians I tower over every other dude.

171 cm average height for Somali is so far off that I don't even believe Somalis back home are that short.

I’ve never met an Arab taller than me, except one older Egyptian man. I am a female. 5’7-5’8 ish.
