If TikTok's brain-rot generation made a show, this would be the best example of it.

Anyone considering this art is lost on taste, intelligence, and values.

This is an amazing success for a Somali TV show, as these numbers purely reflect the current size of interest from Somali audiences in Somalia and around the world. If the production levels and story lines went even higher, these numbers would quadruple with the influx of foreign audiences. This is what happened to the South Korean industry in the 1990s, which then became a global hit in the 2000s. Hope this inspires more people to follow suit;

Imagine if we didn't lose the last 33 years.

I was watching some videos of 80s Somalia a while back thinking how modern (for the time) everything looked, from the music, to the dress, to the carefree attitude. Felt like 80s America transplanted to Somalia.

We’d be having our own Ertugrul and Game of Thrones style series about different sagas of our Medieval history like Adal and Mogadishu, and movies about the Dervish, the Campaign of the Sultanates and the 64’ and 77’ Wars. Imagine Somali adaptations of US shows like Suits, Billions, Succession, etc all set in a uninterrupted modern Mogadishu, the sky would be the limit bro.
